These are the works of Albrecht Altdorfer, a late gothic/early rennaisance painter.

Saint George in the Forest 110k

This painting shows St. George sitting in a wooded area, lots of brown, i don't like it that much.

View of the Danube Valley near Regensburg 48k

This is a beautiful landscape of trees and grass and all sorts of other landscape stuff.

The Departure of Saint Florian 55k

This painting shows a small crowd of people saying adieu to St.Florian.  It is very well done.

The Martyrdom of Saint Florian 51k

This Painting depicts the very same St. Florian about to be hurled off a bridge rather than to give up her religion.  

The Birth of the Virgin 146k

This painting depicts the glorious day in which the Virgin Mary was born.  Angels celebrate in a large circle above.

The Battle of Alexander 151k

This is my favorite Altdorfer painting, because it shows a battle scene..  very cool..
